Coach's Quote
"This year's schedule positions us to have one of our most productive and successful seasons yet.  It features elite competition and banked tracks virtually every week, which will help improve our confidence and familiarity going into the A-10 Championships in February.  We look forward to running against amazing competition this year and look forward to a great season."- Associate Head Coach Aaron Gordon

"We are very excited about our upcoming indoor meet schedule and the opportunities against tough competition for our student-athletes. The meets we have lined up will challenge us early, give us a clear picture of where we stand with our strong returning group of student-athletes, as well as our very talented group of newcomers. Every meet on our schedule is intentional as we prepare for the Atlantic-10 Indoor Championships, and we are confident with this group that this schedule will set us up for success when it matters most."- Associate Head Coach Kevin Gilhuly

The indoor track and field season will officially begin on December 4th, when athletes will compete in the pentathlon at the Oiler Opener hosted by the University of Findlay. Sprinters and jumpers will get underway a few days later on the 6th of December at the Wittenberg Tiger Opener.

That same weekend, the distance runners will step off the cross country course and head indoors for the first time as they join the sprinters and jumpers in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan.

The Flyers will make the first of their five trips to Indianapolis, this time as an entire team, for the Hoosier Horsepower Classic at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Distance and throws will return to that facility the weekend of January 23rd and 24th for the Crossroads of America Invitational.

Dayton will travel south in the final weekend of January to compete in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, hosted by the University of Louisville.

February in Indianapolis

Atlantic 10 Indoor Track And Field Championships
The Atlantic Ten Championships will once again be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on February 27th and 28th. The Flyers return three medalists from last year's championships, where they finished seventh. Jadyn Haywood hopes to turn her two silvers in the 60m and 200m into golds this year. Two jumpers, Charlotte Deines in the long jump and Camryn Thompson in the high jump, earned third-place finishes last year.
