WASHINGTON D.C. – The University of Dayton volleyball program is the preseason favorite in the Atlantic 10 Conference preseason poll, the league announced Wednesday. This is the second consecutive year that the Flyers have been selected first unanimously.
The Flyers finished last season 31-3 overall with an 18-0 record in conference play and advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament, earning first-place votes from all 10 head coaches in the conference in this year's poll.
VCU took second in the preseason poll after finishing the 2024 season second in the A-10. Loyola Chicago, Davidson and George Washington finish out the top five.
The 2025 season will begin on Aug. 29 with all 10 teams of the A-10 in action. Dayton will begin its season in Salt Lake City, Utah, taking on Lafayette, Utah and Washington State in the Utah Classic. The Atlantic 10 Championship will be at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va. on Nov. 21-23.
