Nayo Lear have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Jan. 5-11.
Simon had his best night in a Dayton uniform against George Washington, scoring a career-high 12 points and narrowly missing a double-double with a career-best nine rebounds. Simon, who hails from Mableton, Georgia, shot 3-of-5 from the floor and went 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
Lear scored a career-high 30 points, nearly half of her team's points, in the 66-58 win at Fordham Saturday. The South Holland, Illinois, native averaged 21.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game as Dayton went 1-1, falling to Loyola Chicago midweek. Lear shot 50.0 percent from the field and ranks fourth in the A-10 in scoring this season.
