DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team will continue its Atlantic 10 schedule with a road series against Davidson on March 27-29.
The games on Friday and Sunday will be live on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton hosted Miami (Ohio) for a midweek game on March 24. The RedHawks won 14-4 in seven innings.
Jason Bello and Dyrenson Wouters tallied two RBIs, including a home run by Bello in the third. Mason LaBuda led Dayton's pitchers with three strikeouts.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
Davidson is 10-12 overall with a 2-4 record in the Atlantic 10. The Wildcats are on a three-game losing streak, dropping the second two games of a series against La Salle and a midweek game against Winthrop.
Forrest Lietz leads Davidson with a .397 batting average and two home runs. Wilson Perkins, Friday's projected starter, leads the team with 26.1 innings pitched. Ed Hall, Sunday's projected starter, has 28 strikeouts this season to lead the Wildcats' pitching staff.
LAST MEETING
Dayton is 15-11 against Davidson and is 5-8 against the Wildcats when on the road. During the 2025 regular season, the FlyBoys won two of the three games of the series. The most recent matchup was in the A-10 Championship, where Davidson won 9-4.
Martin Howell and Dyrenson Wouters each recorded an RBI. The Flyers' pitchers combined for 19 strikeouts, including a career-high five punchouts for Jackson Judy.
DAYTON AT DAY AIR
UD and the Dayton Dragons announced on Tuesday that the FlyBoys will host Wright State at Day Air Ballpark on April 15. Tickets can be purchased here, and students can claim free tickets here.
This will be Dayton's sixth consecutive game at Day Air. 2023's game against the Raiders set an attendance record for the FlyBoys of 6,743 attendees.
