Midweek Game With Bowling Green Up Next For #FlyBoys

First Pitch Will Be At 3 P.M.

DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team is looking to build on its success this season, hosting Bowling Green on Tuesday, March 10 at 3 p.m.

The game will be livestreamed on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton earned another five-straight wins, with a series sweep of Maine at home this weekend. The Flyers improved to 12-3, the team's best start since 1998.

Danny MacDougall led the FlyBoys with a .500 batting average and four stolen bases. Bobby Stang hit three home runs and a double, recording six runs scored and eight RBIs. Michael Fortes allowed just one hit in his three innings pitched, while John Delgado struck out five batters to lead Dayton's pitchers.

SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green is 3-10 this season, winning one game in a three-game series against Kent State in their first Mid-American Conference series last weekend. The Falcons were selected fifth in the MAC Preseason Poll. Sam Seidel was named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Feb. 18.

Seidel leads BGSU with a .304 batting average, five doubles and seven stolen bases. Nate Kress, who has credit for two wins this season, leads the Bowling Green pitching staff with a 4.86 ERA, 13 strikeouts and a .254 opposing batting average.

LAST MEETING
This will be the 73rd matchup between Dayton and Bowling Green. The Flyers are 24-48 all-time against the Falcons. Dayton dropped both games last season, falling 14-4 at home and 11-9 on the road.

In the 11-9 loss, Dyrenson Wouters went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a three-run home run. The FlyBoys' pitching staff combined for eight strikeouts, including two by Jackson Judy.

DAYTON AT DAY AIR
UD and the Dayton Dragons announced on Tuesday that the FlyBoys will host Wright State at Day Air Ballpark on April 15. Tickets can be purchased here, and students can claim free tickets here.

This will be Dayton's sixth consecutive game at Day Air. 2023's game against the Raiders set an attendance record for the FlyBoys of 6,743 attendees.

The Flyers will begin their Atlantic 10 schedule with a series at Saint Louis on March 13-15.
