TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The University of Dayton track and field team completed a three-day weekend of competition at the Gibson Invitational, hosted by Indiana State University, Thursday through Sunday.

The weekend saw the Flyers earn 18 top-five finishes with four athletes,
Jameson Pillifant,
Raegan Ernst,
Mia Malito, and
Simone Bessong recording an all-time top-five mark. Ernst once again broke her own school record in the 100m hurdles, posting a mark of 13.97.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Raegan Ernst broke her own school record in the 100m hurdles for the fourth straight meet, running 13.97 in the heptathlon's opening event.
- Sophomore Mia Malito gave herself the birthday gift of a PR in the heptathlon, recording a total of 4641 points, which ranks her third in program history.
- Sophomore Jameson Pillifant recorded a personal best in the 100m hurdles of 14.10. The mark is the second best in school history, only behind Ernst's mark in Thursday's heptathlon.
- Pillifant followed up her record-setting performance with a victory in the 400m hurdles, finishing atop the podium with a time of 1:01.22
- The sprinter duo of Jadyn Haywood and Simone Bessong finished second and fifth, respectively, in the 100m hurdles. Bessong's personal best time of 11.90 ranks her fifth all-time.
- Junior Camryn Thompson tied her PR of 1.70m as she finished second in the high jump.
- The 4x100m team of Chloe Hamilton, Simone Bessong, Sydney Workman, and Jadyn Haywood finished second in the event in a time of 47.58.
