DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team returns home to Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium for a three-game series with the Fordham Rams.
Originally scheduled for 4 p.m., Friday's game has been moved to 11 a.m. due to the weather forecast.
LAST TIME OUT
The Flyers went 1-2 at Davidson last weekend, winning the opening game 20-4 before falling 9-7 and 9-8 (12 innings) to the Wildcats.
Michael Smith Jr. led the team with a .545/.706/.818 slash line, going 6-for-11 at the plate. Ryan MacDougall hit two home runs in the final game of the series. Mason LaBuda and Austin McNabb both struck out six batters on the weekend.
SCOUTING FORDHAM
Fordham is 13-14 overall and 5-4 in league play. The Rams have won their last two games, handing Saint Joseph's its first A-10 loss this season and defeating Columbia 9-8 in a midweek game.
Anthony Grabau leads Fordham with a .309/.437/.521 slash line and 26 runs scored. Tommy McAndrews has 24 RBIs and six home runs, the most in both statistics for the Rams.
LAST MEETING
The FlyBoys went 1-2 in their series against Fordham last season, winning the final game 8-3. The two teams also squared off in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, where Dayton won 9-2.
In the win, Bobby Stang had a two-RBI double, with Ryan MacDougall and Dyrenson Wouters bookending Dayton's scoring with RBI singles.
DAYTON AT DAY AIR
UD and the Dayton Dragons announced on Tuesday that the FlyBoys will host Wright State at Day Air Ballpark on April 15. Tickets can be purchasedÂ

This will be Dayton's sixth consecutive game at Day Air. 2023's game against the Raiders set an attendance record for the FlyBoys of 6,743 attendees.
