Baseball To Take On St. Bonaventure In Road Series This Weekend

All Three Games Will Be Live-Streamed

DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team will return to the road for Atlantic 10 competition with a series against St. Bonaventure.

All three games will be live-streamed on the Bonnies Online Network.

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton hosted Bellarmine for a midweek game, falling 8-6 to the Knights.

Jason Bello, Bobby Stang and Dyrenson Wouters each hit a home run to tally all six of the Flyers' runs. Wouters and Ryan MacDougall led the team with two runs scored. UD threw six pitchers, with Carson Samuels leading the staff with four strikeouts in his start.

SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
The Bonnies are 12-24-1 overall and are tied with Dayton at 6-12 in the Atlantic 10. Last weekend, St. Bonaventure swept Rhode Island at home, tying with Niagara in a midweek game last Tuesday.

Manuel Castro and Anthony Fernandez lead the Bonnies with a .329. Castro also leads the team with a .596 slugging percentage, while Fernandez boasts a team-leading 31 runs scored. David James, Friday's projected starter, has a 3.30 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched, leading the Bonnies. James was also named A-10 Pitcher of the Week on April 6.

LAST MEETING
The FlyBoys are 27-25 against St. Bonaventure, going 1-2 against the Bonnies last season.

In last year's 21-11 win to end the series, Martin Howell led UD with five RBIs, going 4-for-5 on the day. Ryan MacDougall, Bobby Stang and Dyrenson Wouters also scored runs in the game.

UP NEXT
Dayton will be back at Woerner Field on April 28 for a midweek game against Akron at 3 p.m. The game will be a Dollar Dog Day, where fans can buy hot dogs from the concession stand for $1.
