LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The University of Dayton track and field team competed in their final meet before next weekend's A-10 Championships at the Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by the University of Louisville, and at the Ashland Alumni Invitational, hosted by Ashland University.
 
On the weekend, the Flyers set three school records. Jadyn Haywood ran 23.53 in the 200m, breaking her own record, and both relay teams, the 4x100m and 4x400m, set a new program best. Maggie Hofner finished third in the elite section of the discus throw with a mark of 47.37m, which ranks her fifth in program history. The only win of the weekend came from Cara Mooney in the 1500m.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Jadyn Haywood broke her own school record in the 200m, running 23.53 to finish fourth overall in the event.
• The 4x100m team of Chloe Hamilton, Simone Bessong, Sydney Workman and Haywood set a school record with a time of 45.30 as they finished third.
• Another relay record fell as the 4x400m team of Mariya Washington, Workman, Grace Felts and Bessong ran 3:45.23 to claim the top spot in program history.
• Cara Mooney recorded her first win of the outdoor season in the 1500m, running a PR of 4:29.40 to finish atop the field.
• Maggie Hofner finished third in the elite division of the discus throw with a PR mark of 47.37m, which ranks her fifth in program history.
