The #FlyBoys Head To Toledo For Midweek Game Wednesday

First Pitch Is Set For 3 P.M.

DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team will take on Toledo on Wednesday, April 8 at the Scott Park Baseball Complex.

First pitch is set for 3 p.m. Only live stats will be available for the game.

LAST TIME OUT
The FlyBoys hit 10 home runs in the weekend series against Fordham, including a season-high six in Dayton's 17-9 win on April 4. Jason Bello and Colin Lynch led the way with two home runs each. UD went 2-1 against the Rams, moving to 17-13 overall and 5-7 in the Atlantic 10.

Six players scored three runs over the course of the series. Aiden Heberlie, who only played two games, led the team with a .714/.714/1.143 slash line. Ryan MacDougall went 4-for-10 with a double, a triple and a home run. Sawyer Jensen, who started on April 3, pitched six innings, striking out eight batters.

SCOUTING TOLEDO
Toledo is 15-15 overall and 11-4 in the MAC. The Rockets will face Oakland on April 7 before hosting Dayton the next day. Toledo is second in the MAC and has won three straight games, sweeping Eastern Michigan at home last weekend.

Troy Sudbrook, who was ranked No. 30 on D1Baseball's Top Third Basemen, leads Toledo with 43 RBIs, six home runs and a .713 slugging percentage. Charlie Scholvin has 16 stolen bases this season to lead the Rockets.

LAST MEETING
This is the second midweek game against Toledo this season. On Feb. 25, Dayton won 18-8 in seven innings.

Martin Howell led Dayton with five RBIs. He and Danny MacDougall hit home runs. The Flyers stole eight bases, with Michael Smith Jr. leading the way with three. David Cox led the pitching staff with three strikeouts.

DAYTON AT DAY AIR
UD and the Dayton Dragons announced on Tuesday that the FlyBoys will host Wright State at Day Air Ballpark on April 15. Tickets can be purchased here, and students can claim free tickets here.

This will be Dayton's sixth consecutive game at Day Air. 2023's game against the Raiders set an attendance record for the FlyBoys of 6,743 attendees.
