WASHINGTON - Dayton softball senior
Izzy Kemp was named the Atlantic 10 Under Armour Pitcher of the Week Monday, her fifth weekly award this season.Â
Fordham's Nicki Sudall was named Player of the Week and Fordham's Sadira Forcucci earned Rookie of the Week honors. The league announced the awards on May 4 for games played from April 27 to May 3.
Kemp pitched a total of 12 scoreless innings, posting back-to-back complete-game shutout wins against Saint Joseph's this weekend in Dayton's push to earn the number-three seed for the Championship. In game one of the series on Friday, she fanned 12 batters and allowed only two hits in the 2-0 win. In the rubber match Saturday afternoon, Kemp struck out eight over five innings in the 8-0 win, her 10th complete game and fourth shutout of the season.

Dayton (24-22, 13-11) earned the No. 3 seed for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship and the Flyers will be making the program's 13th-consecutive and 17th overall appearance in the conference postseason tournament.
