The Flyers wrap up a three-game swing in Birmingham with a 3 p.m. matchup against Samford on Wednesday. UD is coming off an 8-4 loss at the hands of Birmingham-Southern Monday to snap a six-game Flyer win streak.
Dayton had a season-high tying 17 hits in an 8-5 win at Samford on Sunday. UD had just three extra base hits in the game, but a five-run fourth inning proved to be enough to lead the Flyers to a win.
Sophomore
Bobby Getty has hit safely in each of the last six games and leads the team with 10 multiple base-hit games overall. He now leads the team with a .391 batting average and a .474 on base percentage.
Senior
Drew Chesebro will get his first start of the season Wednesday for the Flyers. He has made five relief appearances this season and holds the second best ERA on the team.
