The University of Dayton is teaming up with Adventures For Wish Kids to raise money for the organization by hosting the AFWK Shot-a-thon. Participants who collect donations are invited to UD Arena on December 10 between 1:00 and 7:00 p.m. to shoot free throws for 10 minutes with a chance to win great prizes of up to a $400 value. Shooters who collect a minimum of $25 in donations receive a free Shot-a-thon t-shirt. Challenge your friends, family, co-workers and other teams (5 shooters) and see who has the best stuff! Prizes will be given out for most money collected as well as individual and team prizes for highest score by age group. The grand prize is two season tickets to UD Men's basketball, a $400 value.

Adventures For Wish Kids is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization that works with children with life threathening illnesses and their families. In the greater Dayton area alone, there are currently close to 350 children supported by AFWK. Over 70% of these children are from low-income families usually with only one working parent. The AFWK will recognize these children this holiday season with a gift(s) totaling $50.
