MEN'S BASKETBALL BEATS HUMBER COLLEGE 64-47

TORONTO - The University of Dayton men's basketball team defeated Humber College 64-47 Sunday afternoon in Toronto. Post players Norman Plummer and Desmond Adedeji led UD with 13 points apiece. The game was the second of two exhibition games played by the Flyers over Labor Day weekend in Canada.

Freshman guard Marcus Johnson followed his 11-point game in Saturday's 76-67 win over York University with 12 points, and team-high tallies in rebounds (8) and steals (4).

Dayton led at halftime 37-24, and held advantages in points off the bench (42-8), points of turnovers (22-4) and second-chance points (19-9).

Every player who dressed (senior forward Monty Scott did not play in either game due to a hamstring injury) played at least ten minutes. Charles Little scored nine points (4-5 FG, 1-1 3-pt.) and Brian Roberts had seven. Jimmy Binnie was second on the team in rebounding (7), followed by Plummer, Roberts and Andres Sandoval (5 each).

The Flyers will spend Labor Day sightseeing before returning to campus via charter Monday evening.
