The Dayton women's soccer team will play its final tune-up before the 2007 season in an exhibition match against Michigan on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1:00 p.m. ET in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Flyers will look to improve to 2-0 in 2007 preseason play.
Four different Flyers found the back of the net, including two goals from senior Jen Leslie, as the Flyers downed London City Supernova of Canada 5-0 in the first exhibition on Saturday, Aug. 18.
Earlier this week the Flyers were selected to finish third in the Atlantic 10 behind 2006 conference champion Saint Louis and Charlotte.
The University of Dayton women's soccer team returns 19 letterwinners from a squad that collected an 8-7-3 overall record last year. Head coach
Mike Tucker enters his 13th year as the head coach of the Flyers and owns a 172-69-11 record. UD returns its top two scorers from last season-- returning sophomores Mandi Back (seven goals and two assists) and Caitlin Proffitt (five goals and one assist).
The Flyers kick off the 2007 season at Big West Conference members Cal Poly on Friday, Aug. 31 at 10:00 p.m. ET in San Luis Obispo, California.
