After registering 16 saves in a pair of shutout victories, Dayton senior goalie Niki Reed has been named to the Soccer Buzz Magazine's Elite Team of the Week, it was announced on Wednesday.

Reed opened the 2007 campaign with 10 saves in the Flyers' 2-0 win over Cal Poly on Aug. 31 before notching six saves on Sept. 2 as UD edged Loyola Marymount in double overtime, 1-0. It marked the seventh and eighth career shutouts for the Fairfield, Ohio, native, who garnered A-10 Player of the Week honors earlier this week.

UD (2-0-0) resumes action on Sept. 7 when it hosts San Diego at 7:30pm.
