Dayton enters the final weekend of the 2008 regular season with a chance to extend one of the winningest seasons in program history as it plays host to Duquesne in a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series. The games will take place on Thursday (1 p.m. ET), Friday (3 p.m. ET) and Saturday (Noon ET) and can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com. NOTE: The time of Thursday's game was changed to 1 p.m. ET in an attempt to avoid impending rain forecast for the area later that evening.

The Flyers (29-24) enter the series with the Dukes just one win shy of the fifth 30-win season in program history. In fact, all five 30-win campaigns have come since 2001 under the direction of head coach Tony Vittorio and the current decade is the winningest period in UD history all time. Dayton has won 247 games since 2000, which are already 43 more than the next best decade (1990-1999, 204 wins). The Flyers have also tallied a .500 winning percentage and could post a winning decade for the first time since the 1930s.

UD also has hopes to extend its winning tradition into the 2008 Atlantic 10 Baseball Championships next week in Camden, NJ. The seventh-place Flyers need to post a sweep of the Dukes, have sixth-place St. Bonaventure lost all three of its remaining games to Richmond and have Fordham lose at least one game at UMass this weekend.

The duo of Lucas Farden and Quinn Haselhorst will look to give the Flyers another strong start to the series on the mound. Both pitchers have thrown complete-game performances to open three of the past four weekends in conference play. Farden has posted just a 2-5 record despite holding a 2.98 ERA and three complete games in five starts against A-10 competition this season. During conference play the righthander has struck out 48 batters in 57.1 innings pitched while holding the opposition to a .246 average against him. Overall this season, Haselhorst has gone the distance in three of his 10 starts while leading the team with a 5-2 record. He is one of four Flyers with a sub-4.00 ERA while striking out 37 in 64.1 innings pitched.
