The University of Dayton Flyer football team garnered recognition for its team member's success in the classroom for the 2008 fall semester, leading the Pioneer Football League for the 15th time in 16 years with 69 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll.
The Flyers' 69 student-athletes helped the PFL recognize a league-record 398 student-athletes this year.
The honor roll, established as a way for the league to recognize its outstanding student athletes, consists of student-athletes that posted a 3.0 grade point average or better during the fall semester.
Other schools with 40 or more recipients included Butler, Davidson, San Diego and Valparaiso.
