The Flyer men's and women's soccer teams recently helped in the promotion of a UD Student Development initiative to educate the University of Dayton community by creating a strategic plan towards the upcoming flu season.

"Our intention is to educate, ease worries, and share our plan of how we are taking responsibility towards ensuring safety towards the student body," said Clare Glaser, assistant dean of students and director for Community Wellness Services.

Flyer women's soccer players Kelsey Miller and Lauren MacCormick, and men's soccer players Randy Dennis and Zach Weiss posed for photos for a flu prevention poster designed by Elaine English and distributed by the UD Student Development office.

"The Community Wellness interns and I were thrilled to have the cooperation and enthusiasm from the Athletics Department," said Glaser. "The Athletics staff jumped in and provided me with opportunities to meet my goal of taking pictures of the athletes for our flu prevention posters."

In addition to the posters, the Community Wellness Center also created a website offering in depth information on the flu and H1N1.
