Maureen Bulgrin was named the Atlantic 10's Performer of the Week, as was announced by the conference on Monday.
Bulgrin captured first-place in the one-mile run at Ohio State's Buckeye Classic on Jan. 9 with a time of 5:03.13. In that event, she bested the next closest finisher by over two seconds. Proving to be a multi-race threat, Bulgrin also came in second overall in the 800, finishing with a final time of 2:19.09.
The junior from Munroe Falls, Oh. was named the A-10 Performer of the Week three times during the cross country season and placed third overall at the A-10 Championships, helping the Flyers to their first-ever conference title.
Bulgrin and the rest of the track team will continue their indoor schedule on Saturday, Jan. 16 at the BGSU Challenge.
