University of Dayton women’s soccer coach Mike Tucker announced the Flyers’ 2010 recruiting class Wednesday afternoon.
Stephanie Emery (Chicago), Juliana Libertin (Uniontown, Ohio), Jordin Melchert (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.), Maggie Murnane (Libertyville, Ill.), Megan Scharer (Oregon, Ohio), Sarah Senoyuit (Perkasi, Pa.) and Andrea Todak (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) all signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their playing careers at Dayton.
“Our primary goal for this recruiting class was to bring in players capable of scoring goals at ANY level. Not only have we accomplished this, but with the bonus of having improved ourselves in EVERY area of the field! These are quality young women in every sense of the word,” said Tucker. “They possess all of the traits that we look for as members of the Dayton Flyers women’s soccer program. We are thankful and thrilled to welcome them as members of our soccer family.”
The Flyers finished their 2009 season posting an impressive 16-1-6 record including an undefeated mark in Atlantic 10 play (10-0-1). UD won the Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament titles and also earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament where they advanced to the Second Round.
