DAYTON - University of Dayton men's cross country senior
Owen Pukys and women's soccer senior
Batoul Reda have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Aug. 25-31.
Pukys impressed in his first racing opportunity in over a year. After missing the entirety of last season, the senior Flyer made his return a memorable one as he set a new personal best of 14:58.27 to finish ninth in the RedHawk Rumble at Miami University. Pukys led the Flyers to a second-place finish in a three-team competition.
Senior keeper
Batoul Reda became the Flyers' all-time shutout leader by posting a clean sheet against Western Kentucky on Thursday night. The Dearborn, Mich. native now has 30 career shutouts. In Sunday's loss to West Virginia, Reda tied a career-high for saves with nine.
