DAYTON PLACES IN 4TH AT THE BIG BLUE INTERCOLLEGIATE

SPRING HILL, Tenn. – Freshman Matt Buse shot a 69 in the final round of the Big Blue Intercollegiate to help the University of Dayton Flyers finish in fourth.

Buse completed the tournament tied for 25th after shooting a 73 and 77 in the first two rounds.

Leading the way for UD overall was junior Chris Woeste. Woeste shot a 71 in round three and finished tied for fifth overall among individuals.

Also firing a 71 in round three was sophomore Michael Oberschmidt. Oberschmidt placed in 18th after carding a 70 and 76 in his first two rounds of play.

Freshman Sean Keating compiled a 74 in round three and placed in a tie for 35th. Junior Jeff Hodapp added a 78 in round three after shooting back-to-back scores of 74 in day one.

Freshman Brenten Blakeman continued to improve through the tournament battling back from scores of 78 and 76 to shoot a 73 in round three.

As a team, the Flyers shot a 285.

The Flyers next tournament will take place at the UK Bluegrass Invitational. The two-day event will be held on April 10 and 11 from the Big Blue Course in Lexington, Ky.
