The University of Dayton women’s tennis team hosted the WSU/UD Invitational this weekend at Thomas Cloud Park in Huber Heights.

In the Raider singles bracket, freshman Sammi Hornbarger defeated Sheye Warman of Northwestern Ohio, 6-1, 6-1, while Erin Filbrandt defeated WSU’s Abby Lewis, 6-3, 3-6, 10-7. After several strong performances, Claire McNulty earned a spot in the finals of the bracket. She fell to Chicago State University’s Rosalia Tejoprayitno 6-3, 7-5.

Freshman Georgia Lammers snagged a win in Flyer singles when she defeated Emma Fernandez of Northwestern Ohio, 6-3, 6-3.

The Flyers will take to the court again when they compete in the Ball State Invitational in Muncie, IN October 7-8.
