NCAA Bracket | Photo Gallery  |  Ticket Information

For the second straight year the University of Dayton women’s basketball team is going to the Big Dance. The Flyers (21-11) earned an NCAA at-large berth as the No. 11 seed and will face Penn State (24-9), from the Big Ten conference, which also received an at-large berth and is the No. 6 seed. The two will square off in first round action on Saturday, March 19 at 11:10 a.m. ET in University Park, Pa. and it will be televised on ESPN2.

UD is in the lower bracket of the Philadelphia Region bracket. This marks the Flyers’ fourth consecutive postseason appearance.

The game is a rematch of the Flyers’ season opener when the Lady Lions prevailed 112-107 in double overtime at UD Arena on Nov. 12. The all-time series is tied 1-1 with Dayton winning the first meeting 67-66 on Dec. 6, 2008 at University Park.

Last year Dayton earned its first-ever NCAA Women’s Basketball Division I berth and advanced to the Second Round with an 18-point comeback victory over TCU in Knoxville, Tenn.
