Miami Invitational Schedule of Events

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton track and field team travels to Oxford, Ohio this weekend for the Miami Invitational.

Last weekend the Flyers placed second in their first team-scored meet of the outdoor season.  he Flyers earned 121.5 points on the day, second only to the BIG EAST’s Cincinnati Bearcats (200 pts.), who hosted the invitational.

Dayton took the first four spots in the 1500 meters, earning 29 points in that event alone. The Flyers also won individual events in the hammer throw and the high jump, and placed in the top three in six events. Freshman Britt Reid was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after jumping 5-06.00 for a first-place finish last weekend.

This weekend’s meet is a team scored event. Action will begin on Friday with the hammer throw at Noon.  The hammer throw is the only event taking place on Friday. The meet will resume on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the women’s discus and the final women’s event (4x400 relay) will take place at 6:15 at the George Rider Track.
