DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton Flyers battled to a 0-0 draw against the Bradley Braves, who advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, in their only exhibition of the fall.
Sophomore forward Abe Keller put three shots on goal to lead the Flyer offense. John Sobey registered one shot. Ajax, Ontario native Ryan Lyn posted two shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alec Storm made seven saves and shut out a Bradley team that has been picked second in the Missouri Valley Conference.
After 90 minutes of regulation play, both teams agreed to scrimmage for an additional 15 minutes to get additional playing time for their newcomers.
During the scrimmage period, Keller made good on his fourth shot of the day, putting it in the back of the net on a ball laced from the top of the box.
The Flyers open their season on the road against the Kentucky Wildcats on Aug. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
