YORKTOWN, Ind. – Senior Heather Jorgensen fired a 75 matching a career-best in the final round of the 2011 Ball State Cardinal Classic.
Jorgensen, who previously shot a 75 at the 2010 UD Fall Invitational, led the way for the Flyers and finished tied for 22nd among individuals.
Freshman Lucy Frey shot an 84 in round two and completed her first tournament tied for 38th overall.
The next top Flyer finisher was senior Clara Ang. She improved slightly from her first round 83 to shoot an 82 in round two.
Sophomore Erin Peavy also carded an 82 and was one stroke behind Ang overall. Sophomore Maggie Prokop shot an 87 in round two and junior Kelly Coakley added a 97.
As a team Dayton placed in 10th after shooting a 326 in round two. UD had a total of 656.
The Flyers head up north next to play in the Cleveland State Invitational from Sept. 26-27. The tournament will take place at the Pine Hills Golf Course in Hinckley, Ohio.
