Series Preview
• Dayton begins a three-game series at Tennessee Tech on Friday at 4 p.m. ET.
• Senior right-handed pitcher
Mike Hauschild will make his season debut as the Friday starter against the Golden Eagles. Hauschild was credited with Dayton’s only victory of the season at High Point (2/25).
• The Dayton and Tennessee Tech series is tied at one game each. The teams met for the first time in March of 2008, splitting two games in Cookeville.
• Dayton won the first, 14-8, on March 18, 2008 behind an error-less defensive outing and 19 hits. The next day (3/19/08) Dayton committed seven errors and scored one run on three hits to lose, 12-1.

Last Time Out
• Dayton lost to Bowling Green State, 5-2, on Tuesday during the 2012 home-opener at Time Warner Cable Stadium.
• It was UD’s second home-opening loss in the last six seasons. The Falcons earned their first win of the season, improving to 1-5.

Parker Schrage (0-3) made his first start as a Flyer on the mound, but again received credit for the loss after allowing seven hits and two runs in two innings of work. Schrage has just pitched pitched 6 ? innings this season yet still has received the loss in all three appearances with a 4.26 ERA.

Jared Broughton had his first multi-hit game of the season after registering a 2-for-3 performance at the plate - the Flyers’ lone multi-hit performance. Senior Mike Coughlin scored both of Dayton’s two runs after reaching base on three-of-four trips to the plate.
Who To Watch
• Senior pitcher
Mike Hauschild will make his first Friday start of the season. The Beavercreek, Ohio native has pitched a team-high 14 innings with a 2.57 ERA and nine strikeouts and three walks.

Burny Mitchem needs one strikeout to tie Dayton’s career leader in strikeouts,
Cameron Hobson with 256. Hobson was an 11th-round MLB draft pick in 2011. Mitchem is the active NCAA career strikeout leader.

Bobby Glover and senior shortstop
Brian Blasik have a hit in all six of Dayton’s games this season. Glover leads the Flyer offense with a .333 batting average. Dayton’s two triples and one homerun are to Glover’s credit.
• Tennessee Tech junior outfielder Austin Wulf leads the team in batting average (.375) and hits (18).
• The Golden Eagles weekend starting rotation has not been announced at press time, but Tristan Archer has a 1-0 record and 1.50 after two Friday starts on the mound.
Scouting the Golden Eagles
• Tennessee Tech enters the weekend with a 2-6 record. On Tuesday TTU broke a six-game losing streak by defeating Lipscomb, 9-8, at home. Last Sunday, Illinois State throttled Tennessee Tech 26-2 to end a three-game sweep in Cookeville.
• TTU has already hit eight homeruns this season, averaging one per game. Three players have two homeruns each (Austin Wulf, Zach Stephens, Dylan Bosheers).
• The Golden Eages were picked to finish third in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll after finishing 12-12 in conference play and 25-29 overall last season.
• Head Coach Matt Bragga is in his ninth season at TTU. He was named the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year after guiding the Eagles to a regular season title in 2010 and a tournament title in 2009.
• TTU returns eight starters from last season.

Brian Blasik and Bobbly Glover both have a hit in all six games this season. Dating back to last season, Blasik is currently on an eight-game hitting streak which started on May 26, 2011 against La Salle during the A-10 Championship tournament.

• During the preseason, the Flyers were picked to finish third in the A-10.
