Series Preview
• Dayton visits nearby Fairborn, Ohio for a mid-week matchup with Wright State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Tuesday’s game will be Military Appreciation Night at Nischwitz Stadium.
• Left-handed pitcher Tommy Konrad (3-3) will make his third start of the season for the Flyers. Konrad leads the team in appearances with 19 entering Tuesday’s game. His longest outing of the season is 4 1/3 innings against Northern Illinois (3/11), in which he allowed just two runs for his first win of the season.
• Wright State will start right-handed pitcher Joey Hoelzel on Tuesday night. The sophomore is 3-3 through 11 appearances and eight starts, with 21 strikeouts and an 8.10 earned run average. Hoelzel is averaging 2 2/3 innings pitched per appearance.
• Dayton and Wright State were scheduled to play two games last season, but both were cancelled due to rain. In the last meeting, the Raiders defeated the Flyers, 11-0, at Nischwitz Stadium on April 21, 2010. The season series was split in 2008 and 2009 as both teams won on their home fields.
• Senior Mike Hauschild earned his first career win against WSU on March 15, 2009 at Time Warner Cable Stadium. As a freshman he threw a complete-game, striking out five with two earned runs in UD’s 5-3 victory. The Beavercreek, Ohio native has since gone on to rank second in career wins at Dayton (21) and third in career strikeouts (236).

• The Flyers lead the NCAA in stolen bases (116), rank fifth in total hits (454) and lead the A-10 in team batting average (.306).
• Dayton leads the A-10 in offensive production with a .306 batting average, 284 runs, 454 hits, 627 total bases and 116 stolen bases – all conference-bests.
• Seniors C.J. Gillman, Bobby Glover and Brian Blasik have started in all of UD’s 41 games this season. Gillman, who started in his 100th consecutive game last Sunday, leads the A-10 with 46 RBI. Glover has a team-best .351 batting average and paces the conference with 48 runs, 60 hits and 100 total bases. Blasik ranks eighth in the NCAA with 18 doubles.
• Freshman first baseman A.J. Ryan was named the A-10 Player of the Week by College Sports Madness on Tuesday. Ryan totaled 10 hits, two doubles and four RBI last week. On Sunday Ryan went a career-high 4-for-4 with two runs scored. The La Grange Park, Ill., native is a two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week this season. Among A-10 stat leaders, Ryan ranks fourth runs batted in (36), fourth in hits (53) and seventh in batting average (.342).
• Senior right-handed pitchers Burny Mitchem and Hauschild both rank in the top three in career strikeouts at Dayton. Mitchem (288) ranks first and Hauschild (236) ranks third. Cameron Hobson, an 11th-round MLB Draft pick in 2011, ranks second with 256.
• Head Coach Tony Vittorio won his 350th game at Dayton on March 24 against Saint Bonaventure. Vittorio is 361-348 in his 13th season at UD and 584-546 in his 20th season overall.
• Dayton is 9-11 on the road this season.

LAST TIME OUT
• Dayton won two-of-three in a non-conference series at Evansville last weekend, totaling 41 hits. Senior Tim Bury pitched 8 1/3 innings to earn his third win in as many starts on Saturday, with Burny Mitchem punching the last two outs of the game for his third save. Freshman Denton Sagerman threw four hit-less innings of relief on Sunday to stave off Evansville until UD scored four runs in the ninth. Sunday’s 9-5 victory was Sagerman’s first career winning decision. 
• With an 8-4 league record, Dayton is tied for second in the A-10 with UMass. The Flyers won two-of-three against Fordham at home in the most-recent A-10 series.

• Wright State is receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ Poll for the second time this week coming off a 3-1 week with a win at Toledo (5-4) and two-of-three at Illinois-Chicago (2-0, 2-3, 4-3).
• Much like the Flyers, WSU’s offense is led by a trio of seniors whom have started in all 39 games this season. Ryan Ashe, Jake Hibberd and Tristan Moore are all hitting over .350, led by Ashe’s.397 batting average and .460 on-base percentage. Hibberd leads the Horizon League in hits (61) and Moore leads in runs scored (39).
• From March 24 through April 15 the Raiders won 14 consecutive games, a streak that included non-conference wins over Ohio, Xavier, Cincinnati and Miami. WSU started 1-6 before defeating then No. 14 Virginia on March 3 (5-4). Since that game the Raiders are 25-7.
• Head coach Rob Cooper secured his 250th career coaching victory with 4-3 win Sunday at UIC.
• The Raiders are 11-4 at home this season.
