CHARLESTON, S.C. – A pre-sale for tickets to the 2012 DIRECTV Charleston Classic is available for the Flyer Faithful.
The 2012 DIRECTV Charleston Classic will be held Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 15, 16 and 18, at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C.
Pre-sale tickets are available through the University of Dayton Ticket Office until Friday, June 22. Please visit or call the UD ticket office at (937) 229-4433 to place your order. The University of Dayton Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET.
Teams in this year’s tournament include Dayton, Auburn, Baylor, Boston College, Charleston, Colorado, Murray State and St. John’s.
The 2012 Charleston Classic will feature 12 games over the three days. There are no games played on Saturday. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a tournament-bracket format. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship match Sunday, Nov. 18.
All seats are general admission.
Any remaining tickets after the pre-sale will go on sale July 2, 2012 through the College of Charleston Athletic ticket office.
Please note, TD Arena is the home court for College of Charleston men’s basketball with a seating capacity of about 5,000. During the 2011-12 season, the Cougars averaged 4,321 fans at TD Arena. In the event Dayton is paired in a bracket with the College of Charleston, tickets could be limited.

Booster Tickets - $60
A booster ticket provides access to 6 games/3 sessions during the tournament (one session per day). The booster ticket allows fans to watch every game the Flyers play. This package can be ordered through the University of Dayton Ticket Office prior to June 22, 2012 for $60. Beginning July 2, 2012, this package can be purchased through The College of Charleston Athletic ticket office only.
All Session Tickets - $75 (pre-sale only)
An all session ticket provides access to all 12 games/6 sessions of the Charleston Classic. This package can be ordered through the University of Dayton Ticket Office prior to June 22, 2012 for $75. After June 22, 2012, this offer will no longer be available.

Dayton returns three starters from last season’s 2011-12 team that advanced to the NIT and won the 2011 Old Spice Classic. Leading the returnees will be All-Atlantic 10 point guard Kevin Dillard, who was second in the A-10 and tied for 16th in the NCAA in assists per game with 6.0. Dillard also led the Flyers in scoring (13.3), assists (6.0), steals (47) and minutes (32.7).
Last year the Flyers defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 86-70 to capture the 2011 Old Spice Classic championship. In that game, Dayton rewrote program records for in-season tournaments. The Old Spice Classic was Dayton’s 14th in-season tournament championship. UD has won three of the last five it has participated in and this is the first since taking the 2008 Chicago Invitational Challenge.
