KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America will have their weekly rankings were released Tuesday and the University of Dayton men's program was ranked No. 19.
The Flyers are 10-0 on the year, the only team remaining in Division I with a perfect record. Dayton wrapped-up its non-conference schedule in dramatic fashion by defeating Incarnate Word 3-2 in double overtime last Friday.
Dayton falls one spot from No. 18 last week, despite winning their lone contest of the week.
California remained in the top spot for the second straight week, followed by Notre Dame, Washington, Cal. St.-Northridge, and Maryland. Michigan State jumped ahead of the Flyers this week to No. 18 after not being ranked previously.
Dayton is also ranked in a number of other soccer publications and websites, including Top Drawer Soccer (No. 20), College Soccer News (No. 18), Soccer America (No. 24), and College Sports Madness (No. 19). College Sports Madness named Dayton senior
Abe Keller the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week this week as well.
With Atlantic 10 play approaching, the Flyers will open up the conference at home on Friday when they host George Washington at 7 p.m.
