FLYERS ADD TWO JUCO PLAYERS TO 2015 SQUAD

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton baseball team announced the addition of two junior college transfers for the 2014-15 school year.

The Flyers have added Cale Dineen and Bradley Horn to the roster for the 2015 season. Both players signed NLI's on Wednesday.

Dineen is an infielder from Garden City Community College in Kansas. He is a native of Omaha, Neb. where he played at Creight Prep in high school. In the fall of 2013, Dineen batted .425 in 94 plate appearances and recorded 14 walks and 12 stolen bases.

Head coach Tony Vittorio had this to say about Dineen.

"Cale is a versatile infielder," Vittorio stated. "He has gap-to-gap power and is fundamentally sound from an offensive standpoint. He has the potential to be a threat on the bases."

The second signee is Bradley Horn, who joins the Flyers from Murray State College in Tishomingo, Okla. Originally from Rowlett, Texas, Horn is a right-handed pitcher. Last season, Horn pitched 87 innings, struck out 56 batters, and recorded six wins.

Coach Vittorio talked about Horn's potential as well.

"I had the opportunity to watch Bradley compete on the mound at the NJCAA Division II World Series," said Vittorio. "He threw a complete game (9 IP, 7 H, 6 K) in a 4-3 win in the National Championship game against LSU-Eunice. Bradley is a great competitor that wants the ball in every situation."

Dineen and Horn join the three high school additions from earlier in the week.

"Both Cale and Bradley are competitive players that will bring great experience to our baseball team," Vittorio stated. "They are both outstanding students and great leaders, let alone solid baseball players. They are the definition of what a University of Dayton baseball player is all about."
