Isolde Hannan was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday, Nov. 3. This is the first weekly honor for the Dublin, Ohio, native this season and the fifth of her career.
Duquesne senior Arielle Love and junior Kalah Jones of VCU were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball Co-Players of the Week and Saint Louis freshman Lauren Leverenz earned the Rookie of the Week award. The awards are for matches played during the week of Oct. 27 – Nov. 2.
Hannan averaged 1.71 blocks per set and 2.29 kills per set in two wins over the weekend for the first-place Flyers. She recorded 10 blocks in a 3-1 battle at VCU on Friday. In Sunday's 3-0 win at Davidson, Hannan chipped in eight kills to go with two blocks. A middle blocker from Dublin, Ohio, Hannan also contributed 2.29 kills per set, 3.14 points per set and she hit at .448 for the weekend.
The Flyers return to action on Saturday for their lone match of the week, a 2 p.m. ET contest at Saint Louis. UD and SLU will be squaring off in the Billikens' Chaifetz Pavilion.
