GAME PREVIEW
• The University of Dayton baseball team will host the University of Toledo at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Athletes In Action in Xenia.
• The Flyers enter the game with a 5-12 record overall and riding a two-game winning streak. Head coach
Tony Vittorio has a talented line-up this year, his 15th at the helm, and is looking to get UD back to the A-10 tournament after winning the title in 2012.
• Toledo is 6-10 on the year and currently has a two-game losing streak. The Rockets have wins over Norfolk State, Texas Southern, College of Charleston, The Citadel, Charleston Southern, and Xavier. Head coach Cory Mee is in his 11th year with the program.
RECENT ACTION
• Most recently, the Flyers defeated Canisius on Sunday 5-3 thanks to
Mark Podlas' two-run double late in the contest to break open a 3-3 tie. Pitcher
Charlie Dant had a strong outing, giving up just three runs in 8 1/3 innings on the mound.
• Toledo is coming off a pair of losses to Xavier this past weekend. The Rockets won the series opener 3-0 before falling 1-0 and 7-1 to the Musketeers.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
• Dayton is batting .222 overall with a .314 slugging percentage and a .313 on-base percentage. The Flyers have 23 steals and 39 extra-base hits on the season.
• The Flyers are led by reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week
Robby Sunderman, who batted .703 in four games last week.
• Dayton's pitching staff has a team ERA of 7.63 in 2014 with 79 strikeouts in 145 innings.
• The starter for Tuesday's game for UD will be freshman
Mark Giesler, who will be making the first start of his collegiate career.
SCOUTING THE ROCKETS

• The pitching staff has a combined ERA of 3.98 and 101 k's in 16 games.
• Dayton will face sophomore righty Kyle Slack, who has an 0-4 record, a 9.49 ERA, and 10 strikeouts in four appearances, three of which have been starts.
LAST SEASON VS. TOLEDO
• Last year, the Flyers met the Rockets twice and suffered losses both times. Dayton fell to Toledo 6-1 at home on March 12 before dropping a 10-2 decision at Toledo on April 9.
