FLYER OFFENSE HELD IN CHECK BY RAIDERS

Box Score
FAIRBORN, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team squared off against neighbor Wright State on Wednesday and suffered a 6-0 loss to the Raiders.

Wright State opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first with a single run. The Raiders went on to add two more runs to their lead in the fourth to make it a 3-0 contest in the hosts' favor.

That score remained until the seventh inning when WSU scored again with a trio of runs, extending their advantage to 6-0.

Dayton did manage to collect hits throughout the game, but was never able to capitalize on the baserunners. The Flyers fell by a final score of 6-0.

Starter Joe Wahl (1-6) was stuck with the loss after giving up three runs on five hits in four innings while striking out four.

Offensively, Dayton totaled three hits in the contest, one each from Robby Sunderman, Glenn Jones, and Aaron Huesman.

The Flyers (20-25, 11-10 A-10) will host La Salle this weekend in Atlantic 10 action, starting Friday at 3 p.m.
