ERHAHON PICKS UP SECOND-CONSECUTIVE A-10 POW AWARD

Fifth Weekly Honor for Sophomore from Albany, Calif.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - For the second-consecutive week, University of Dayton volleyball sophomore Amber Erhahon has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday, Nov. 2. This is Erhahon fifth weekly honor this season.

George Washington senior Maddy Doyle and VCU freshman Tori Baldwin were chosen as the league's Co-Defensive Players of the Week and VCU freshman Sahbria McLetchie was named Rookie of the Week. The awards are for matches played during the week of Oct. 26 – Nov. 1.

Erhahon led the Flyers in a 3-0 week in wins over Eastern Kentucky, Rhode Island and Fordham. She recorded her first career double-double with 15 kills and a career-high 10 blocks while hitting .636 with four assists and one digs in a sweep of Eastern Kentucky Tuesday. On Friday at Rhode Island, she recorded 14 kills and six blocks while posting a .500 hitting percentage to go with three digs and a service ace in UD's 3-2 win. In the Flyers sweep of Fordham on Saturday, the Albany, Calif., native hit .700 with eight kills to go with five blocks. For the week, she averaged 3.36 kills per set, 1.91 blocks per set and 4.59 points per set for the Flyers.

Dayton will close out the home portion of its 2015 schedule this coming weekend with matches against George Washington on Friday and George Mason on Sunday. Five senior team members will be recognition prior to Sunday's match.
