Game Notes
GAME PREVIEW

• The University of Dayton baseball team will travel back to Georgia this weekend for a three-game series with Murray State. The Flyers and Racers open up the weekend on Friday with a 6 p.m. contest, followed by a 8 p.m. game on Saturday and a 3 p.m. finale on Sunday.
• The Flyers head into the series with a 1-5 record overall and coming off a 1-2 set with Morehead State in their last outing. That series was also played at the Perfect Game South Complex, which is where Dayton heads this weekend. Head Coach Tony Vittorio is in his 16th year in charge of the Flyers and is looking to take momentum from this series into the home schedule next week.
• Murray State is 2-5 on the season and 1-2 at neutral site contests. The Racers are under the direction of first-year head coach, Kevin Moulder. MSU is coming off their second victory of the season, a 3-2 win over Southern Illinois on Wednesday. The Racers also boast a win over IPFW from earlier in the campaign, after spending last weekend in Georgia at the same complex as the Flyers.

MARATHON GAME
Dayton and Morehead State started the first game of their series on Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. By the time the game was complete, it was 7 p.m. the next day. The contest was suspended in the middle of the fifth inning and was scheduled to begin the next day at 3 p.m. On top of that, the contest went 14 innings before a winner was decided.    Besides the 18-hour delay, the game took four hours and 15 minutes to play, resulting in a 5-3 win for the Flyers.

FLYERS PICKED TO FINISH SIXTH IN A-10
The Atlantic 10 released their 2015 preseason poll and tabbed Dayton to finish sixth this year, after posting that same finish in 2014. The Flyers received one first place vote, and came ahead of Davidson, George Washington, and Fordham in the poll. Saint Louis was picked to win the league and had six first-place votes, while VCU was right behind in second with five first-place votes.

COVERING THE NATION
The 2015 roster has players from across the United States with Flyers hailing from nine different states. UD's squad has players from Wisconson, California, Ohio, Nebraska, Texas, Indiana, Arizona, Colorado, and Illinois.

HONORARY FLYER CAMERON NEAL
During the 2013 season, the Dayton Baseball program announced the addition of Cameron Neal to its family. Cameron is a local boy that has battled a brain tumor. He was partnered up with the Flyers through the Friends of Jaclyn foundation. What started out as a young boy meeting with a few players has blossomed into a tight-knit relationship that not only benefits Cameron, but the players as well. With his own locker and uniform, Cameron will be seen at as many of the games as he can attend this season. He is not part of just a community service project, but truly a member of the Dayton Baseball team.
