INDIANAPOLIS – University of Dayton Flyer supporters made the top five of the NCAA's list of "most passionate college basketball fans."

From the face-painters to the stand-until-the-game's-over fans, NCAA.com's High Five looked at the college basketball fan bases with the most zeal.

It's no surprise the Flyer Faithful is on the list with fellow elite programs like Duke, Syracuse, Arizona and Kentucky.

Dayton finished in the Top 30 in men's basketball attendance for the 17th straight season in 2013-14. Since UD Arena opened in 1969, Dayton has been in the NCAA`s Top 35 in attendance every season.

The tie-in with UD Arena and the NCAA Tournament has a long tradition as well.

The University of Dayton Arena has hosted 105 NCAA Tournament games, more than any site in America making it America's No. 1 Host Site and making the Dayton region the Epicenter of College Basketball.

The 2015 NCAA Tournament will tip-off from UD Arena for the 15th consecutive year on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18 with the NCAA First Four.
