FLYERS RECOGNIZED ON CSM PRESEASON TEAMS

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team had three players honored on the College Sports Madness Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference teams.

Senior infielder A.J. Ryan and senior outfielder Alex Harris were named to the First Team while junior designated hitter Aaron Huesman was named to the Second Team.

Ryan is the top returning offensive threat for the Flyers with a .338 average, 38 RBI and a .506 slugging percentage last season. Harris batted .333 with 44 runs, 15 doubles, 32 RBI, and 15 stolen bases. He also finished second in the league in on-base percentage. Huesman recorded a .295 average with 12 doubles, three home runs, and a team-high 40 RBI.

La Salle's Justin Korenblatt was named Field Player of the Year while Saint Louis' Matt Eckelman was named Pitcher of the Year and Saint Joseph's Nick Fuhrmann was named Freshman of the Year. Saint Joes' Head Coach Fritz Hamburg picked up Coach of the Year honors.

The Flyers open the season on Feb. 13 at South Carolina Upstate as part of the Spartanburg Classic.
