GAME PREVIEW
• The University of Dayton baseball team will travel to Xavier Friday for a 4 p.m. contest before hosting Alabama A&M for single games on Saturday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. Xavier and Alabama A&M will also play a neutral game in Dayton Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
• The Flyers are 12-30 on the season. They are also 6-14 at home and 2-11 on the road in 2015. Dayton is coming off a series loss at home to Saint Joseph's this past weekend, but has won two of its last three non-conference games.
• Xavier enters the weekend 11-33 overall with a 2-8 home record. The Musketeers have already fallen to the Flyers this season, but will look to avenge that loss at home on Friday. Head Coach Scott Googins is in his 10th season at the helm.
• Alabama A&M is 25-24 on the year and 10-17 on the road. The Bulldogs are on a three-game winning streak and will face Xavier on Saturday morning before meeting the Flyers in the afternoon.

WHO TO WATCH - DAYTON
• Offensively, Dayton is batting .238 with an average of 4.3 runs per game and 7.9 hits per game. The Flyers have also stolen 45 bases to go with 93 extra-base hits.
• Leading the way for UD are seniors Sergio Plasencia, who has three home runs and 19 RBI, and A.J. Ryan, who has seven home runs and 24 RBI.
• Pitchers Charlie Dant (1-8, 5.00 ERA, 60 k's), Noah Buettgen (2-6, 5.40 ERA, 45 k's), and Bradley Horn (2-4, 42 k's) are projected to get the nod as starters.
• As a pitching staff, Dayton has a team ERA of 5.19 with 289 strikeouts compared to 192 walks in 373 innings of work. Freshman Tyson Schnitkey leads the team with 19 relief appearances and junior Sam Brunner has four saves in 15 games.
• Defensively, the Flyers have a .960 fielding percentage and 66 errors on the season.

WHO TO WATCH - THE OPPONENT
• Xavier offensively is batting .240 as a team with a .322 on-base percentage and 59 stolen bases. The Musketeers has 75 extra-base hits as well.
• Andre Jernigan is the main offensive threat with 13 extra-base hits, 24 RBI, and 15 steals. Derek Hasenbeck and Brian Bruening have chipped in 19 RBI apiece as well.
• Xavier has an ERA of 4.81 and 290 strikeouts compared to 196 walks in 372 2/3 innings.
• The Musketeers defensively have a .963 fielding percentage and 61 errors.
• Alabama A&M has a .305 team average with 105 doubles, 37 home runs, and 309 RBI this season. The Bulldogs also have a .453 slugging percentage, .385 on-base percentage, and 39 steals on the year.
• Senior Julio Nunez has been an offensive force this season with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, and 50 RBI. Senior Andrew Utterback has added 40 RBI with senior Jordan Friend driving in 37 RBI.
• The Bulldog pitching staff has a team ERA of 5.51 through 49 games with 359 strikeouts and 205 walks.
• Defensively, A&M has a .954 fielding percentage and 79 errors.

LAST MEETING
Dayton and Xavier met earlier this year in Dayton with the Flyers coming out on top 8-5. Freshman Mason Kutruff earned the win on the mound while Ryan went 4-for-5 with four RBI.

This will be the first ever meeting between Dayton and Alabama A&M.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Flyers are ranked 38th in the nation in hit by pitch with 54 on the season, Individually, Dant is 16th in the country in games started.

The Musketeers are ranked 48th in the nation in stolen bases and 65th in stolen bases per game. Xavier continues its small-ball assault, ranking 58th in hit by pitch and 70th in sacrifice flies.  Individually, Greg Jacknewitz is 13th nationally in hits allowed per nine innings while Brian Bruening is 37th in sacrifice flies.

The Bulldogs have one of the most prolific offenses in the country, ranking sixth in the nation in total runs, fifth in hits, and ninth in doubles. A&M is also 32nd in on-base percentage and 25th in slugging percentage. Individually, Julio Nunez is fifth in the country in doubles while Patrick Dodson is 13th in sacrifice bunts.
