NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its preseason rankings for cross country and tabbed the women's program to finish eighth overall.

The Flyers took ninth at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships last year and were selected to finish higher in 2015.

Duquesne was chosen to repeat after winning the title in 2014 and 2013, topping the rankings this preseason. La Salle, Richmond, Davidson, and Saint Louis rounded out the top five.

Dayton will open up its 2015 campaign on Sept. 5 at Indian Riffle Park in Kettering with the Flyer 5K as the Flyers compete against Ohio State and Miami (Ohio).
