DAYTON, Ohio – The College Sports Madness Preseason All-Conference teams were announced for Atlantic 10 baseball on Monday.

University of Dayton junior Matt Poland was named Second Team Preseason All-Atlantic 10 by the website, the lone honoree for the Flyers.

Poland finished second on the team last season with a .286 batting average to go with 16 runs, six doubles, and 21 RBI. He started 36 games and made 45 appearances, spending the majority of the time behind the plate for UD.

The Flyers will open up the 2016 season on Feb. 19 at the Spartanburg Classic against Stony Brook.
