KANSAS CITYÂ - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field.
The University of Dayton men's and women's soccer programs earned the 2015-16 NSCAA Team Academic Award. The award is given by the NSCAA to teams which earn a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2015-16 academic year.Â
Dayton is one of eight schools in the Atlantic 10 with both their men's and women's programs earning the award.Â

Dayton's women's program posted a team grade point average of 3.535, while the men's program earned a 3.428 team grade point average in the second semester of the 2015-16 academic year.Â
This is the 11th consecutive year the men's program has been recognized by the NSCAA with the Team Academic Award with Head CoachÂ
Dennis Currier at the helm. The women's program has never had a team grade point average below 3.0 during Head CoachÂ
