DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's soccer program partnered up with Team IMPACT and signed local boy Tyler Sargent as an honorary Flyer.
Tyler is a 12-year old boy from Farmersville, Ohio that has battled Cystic Fibrosis throughout his life. Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life threatening and chronic lung disease in children, and Tyler has suffered since he was a baby with the debilitating illness. Each day, Tyler has to do five different breathing treatments two times a day. Despite the effects and inconvenience of the disease, Tyler truly epitomizes what it means to be a fighter and is sure to be an inspiration to his teammates.

According to Tyler, his favorite number is four and favorite colors are blue and pink. His favorite foods are pizza, chicken and dumplings, and Bosco sticks. Tyler enjoys watching sports shows and cooking shows. His idols are Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Leo Messi. Tyler enjoys playing sports and also fishing. He has a black cat named Mill-Bob, named by his six-year old brother. Tyler, his parents, and three brothers Eddie, Connor, and Jason can't wait to meet the team and get the relationship started.
The Flyers will had a signing day ceremony at Frericks on Friday evening, before taking Baujan Field for a friendly workout.
