CULVER CITY, Calif. - Set to welcome seven newcomers for the 2016 season, the University of Dayton volleyball's incoming recruiting class has been rated the 17th-best in the nation according to PrepVolleyball.com. The rating is one of the best in program history.
"Our coaches really do a great job recruiting and this reinforces how much work they do in finding both great players and great people," commented Dayton head coach
Tim Horsmon. "This recruiting class continues to move the needle forward for the Flyer volleyball program. We obviously lost a fantastic group of seniors this year but we are excited in how our returning players grew this past spring. I think that by adding this strong class to that core returning group, the Flyers should be exciting for our fans for years to come."
As one of the top 20 teams ranked by PrepVolleyball.com, Dayton is included in a field of 18 that played in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, including 13 teams that advanced to the Second Round. The Flyers are also ranked among the top four seeds from last season's national post-season tourney and three of the four national semifinalists.
