NEWPORT NEWS, Va.  – University of Dayton freshman Lillian Cook, of Seven Valleys, Pa., was named the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Rookie of the Week for performances March 20-26. 

Cook, in her first-ever collegiate meet, broke the UD school record in the javelin with her mark of 41.82m. It's the second-best mark in the A-10  this season.

She took seventh place in the event at the prestigious N.C. State Raleigh Relays.
