#UDTF At Two Meets In Tennessee This Weekend

Distance Runners Will Compete In A Two Day Event At Lee University While Sprinters, Jumpers, and Throwers Compete At Tennessee

DAYTON - University of Dayton track and field will continue its outdoor schedule this weekend, April 10-11, at two meets in the state of Tennessee. Sprinters, jumpers, and throwers will compete in Knoxville at the Tennessee Invitational, hosted by the University of Tennessee, while distance runners will take the track at the Lee Fast Break Invitational, hosted by Lee University.
 
START TIME
In Knoxville, action starts at 9 a.m. on Friday with the hammer throw. The running events get underway at 3:50 p.m. with the 200m. On Saturday, both field and running events start at noon.
 
At Lee, the first event is the 1,500m, scheduled for 4:55 p.m. On Saturday, the 10,000m starts the day at 10 a.m.

FLYERS IN ACTION
Eight distance runners will be making the trip to Lee. Mia Gill, Addison Stephens, Anna Newkirk, Reese Kohnle, and Cara Mooney will be competing in the 1,500m and 800m. Bryn Hothem will represent the Flyers in the 5,000m, and Olivia Kindbom will take the track in the 3,000m steeplechase. Marissa Pritchett will be the lone Flyer competing in the 10,000m.
 
At Tennessee, the short sprints duo of Jadyn Haywood and Simone Bessong, Chloe Hamilton, and Gianna Lane will toe the line in the 100m and 200m. Autumn Price will join them in the 100m and Charlotte Deines, Sydney Workman, and Mariya Washington will step on the track in the 200m. Washington, Workman and Lianna Shakoor will all run the 400m. Jameson Pillifant, Raegan Ernst, Sophia Goluba, Mia Malito and Evelyn Albers will compete in the 100m hurdles before Pillifant joins Grace Felts for the 400m hurdles.
 
In the field, Daniela Peralta enters the meet as the top seed in the javelin throw, with her PR of 47.50m being the best of the field. The high jump trio of Camryn Thompson, Riley Yost and Mia Malito will all be eyeing top finishes, while Jailee Clemmons, Raegan Ernst, Charlotte Deines, Autumn Price, and Gianna Lane compete in the long jump. Rebekah Conrad, Elaina Panagakos and Anna Yater will step into the circle for the shot put before Maggie Honer and Jillian Yates join them for the discus throw and the hammer throw.
