DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's cross country team, currently ranked No. 8 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Women's Regional Cross Country Great Lakes Rankings, will compete against 50 schools at the 2017 All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Cedarville University this Friday at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
The women's 6k championship will take place at 2:45 p.m. ET, following the 63
rd annual men's championship race which starts the event at 2 p.m. ET. Â The awards ceremony will take place at 5 p.m.
In the last five years, five different schools have won the team championship, including Dayton in 2013. The last time a Dayton student-athlete claimed the individual title was in 2012 when Lizzie Gleason won the race.
The Flyers are going into this race with a first- and second-place team finish at the Queen City Invitational and the National Catholic Invitational, respectively.
