NEW ORLEANS – The US. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its regional rankings Monday and dropped the University of Dayton men's cross country team one spot to No. 9 in the Great Lakes Region.
The Flyers were ranked No. 8 previously, but remained in the Top 10 in the region.
Dayton is coming off a 24th place finish at the NCAA Pre-National meet this past weekend in Wisconsin. The Flyers had two runners in the top 100 in a meet with the top teams in the country at the Division I level.
UD returns to action Oct. 27 at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Mechanicsville, Va. at Pole Green Park.
